My vacation started yesterday, during which I'm supposed to be getting a lot of packing done. But I was a bit lazy and only did three boxes, plus a small fourth, of decorative items, like framed pictures and vases and my glass ashtray collection. I still have three framed pictures that are too big for boxes, so I might as well just take them over in the car one day. The smaller box was exactly the right size for my three iron grates, and some smaller iron items.

I'm not sure yet where to start today. One thing I could do is walk over to the resale shop across the street with some magazines they may or may not want, and ask them if they want some bigger items we want to get rid of -- our oldest television, a dual tape deck, and a computer monitor. If they do pick-up, I can arrange for that.

I need to call the vet and arrange to have Mackenzie's toenails trimmed, too. Plus I can do laundry today. Maybe wash my hair.

We still don't know when we get our keys. Today is the moving day of the people who sold us our house, so I'm not even sure when would be a good time to call them.
